On Wednesday September 27th, New York City’s premier real estate networking organization REDinNYC along with RBC Wealth Management Senior Vice President Richard A. Fitzburgh hosted an All Star investment luncheon at Fifth Avenue’s Langham Place Hotel. Over 80 guests were captivated by the prominent line up of investment professionals speaking at the afternoon event.
Topics of the day included “Investing in Professional Sports,” with David Checketts, managing partner of the private equity firm Checketts Partners Investment Management. Charles Baker of O’Melveny’s Sports Industry Practice co- chaired the discussion and Jason Kelly of Bloomberg moderated. An overview of the New York City Real Estate market with Madison Equities’ CEO Robert Gladstone followed in the discussion.
The audience then heard market insights from the Wall Street icon Mario Gabelli, founder and CEO of Gabelli Asset Management Company Investors. The day moved further along with Brett Hickey, founder and CEO of Star Mountain Capital, Martin C Schultz Managing Director of PNC Capital Advisors, and concluded with Jenny Van Leeuwen Harrington, CEO and Portfolio Manager at Gillman Hill Asset Management.
The event was organized by REDinNYC the New York City based real estate organization which brings together over 600 real estate professionals each month for an evening of discussion and networking and by Richard A. Fitzburgh who was named this year as one of the top 400 Financial Advisors by the Financial Times. REDinNYC has this year brought to its audiences such prominent NYC developers as Robert Gladstone, Michael Stern, and Morris Moinian.
